Little
did Dad know that in 1946 when he created the Nat Nast Company he was
creating an American art form, a style that would stand the test of
time. And, little did the early film pioneers understand how important
the American Art form they were creating would be to our culture.
Hollywood has been capturing and chronicling the spirit and style of
each era in American History for more than 100 years. During that time, “stars” have
been made, trends have developed, and the film industry has given the
gift of documenting it all.
But, for every successful star, there are countless numbers of men
and women behind the scenes who make their careers in this competitive
industry and suffer real life crisis and need a helping hand. That
is when they turn to The Motion Pictures & Television Fund, a health
and human service charitable organization with a mission of “Taking
Care of Our Own.”
It is in honor of Dad’s legacy and his belief in supporting those
less fortunate that The Nat Nast Company proudly supports the MPTF.
Next time you watch a movie or television show, take a moment to look
at the credits. Chances are that a helping hand supported but this
sponsorship has touched one of these folks. To learn more about the
